But on the bathroom washbasins (double washbasins are the norm) and countertops nothing beats the look of Italian marble. Hand polished pewter, steel and other metals are common elements of Italian bathroom fixtures. Showers and bathtubs are used as much for cleanliness as they are for feeling good. That’s why today’s Italian bathroom boasts as its centerpiece an oversized Jacuzzi tub completely surrounded by marble and an array of fragrant candles flickering in low level lighting. |
